Jenny Anderson

Attorney

Jenny (she/her) is a Seattle native and earned both her BA and JD from the University of Washington. As an adjunct to her law practice, Jenny serves as a family law GAL in King County Superior Court. She has taught at Seattle University School of Law, was a founding member and the 2014-15 Chair of the Low Bono Section of the Washington State Bar Association and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Northwest Advocacy Foundation. She has also served as a mentor attorney for Seattle University’s Low Bono Incubator and ELAP’s Domestic Violence Family Law Fellowship Program. In 2020, she earned a Certificate in Trauma Informed Advocacy in Legal Systems from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

Jenny studied child development as part of her undergraduate work and brings that foundation to all of her work with children and families. She also has experience as a domestic violence victim advocate, so she has an in-depth understanding of the specific challenges that domestic violence victims face. She is dedicated to helping domestic violence victims and their children escape the cycle of violence and live freely and safely, and to helping families navigate the difficult process of separation while holding the needs of their children paramount.

In Jenny’s spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and visiting Seattle’s many beautiful parks with her husband, two kids, and little dog.
